Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down.

What is Vinyasa Yoga?

1

The word "vinyasa" can be translated as "arranging something in a spacial way", like a yoga pose for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow could all be considered vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (movement) that are breath-breath-synchronized (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class.

Whether you're just starting out with yoga, or you're looking to try someone new, there are tons of great reasons to try Vinyasa - which is one of the most popular styles among yogis of all experience levels.

What to expect from a private Session?

2

Individualised One-on-One attention.

When you come in for a private yoga session, it's all about you! I will customise your session to fit your physical and emotional needs, based on a start-of-class discussion about your personal health history, an assessment of your goals, your emotional state, and any other activities, injuries, or physical limitations that you think I should know about. During our class, I will also be able to get a better look at how you move, positions you struggle in or that come more naturally to you, and what parts of your body might need more attention in order to recommend a specific yoga practice sequence or regimen. This leads to the creation of a practice that is tailor made for you!

Flexibility of scheduling

3

Private sessions are scheduled based on what works best for you. If you're someone who's interested in keeping up with a regular practice but finds it hard to come to the studio for group classes, private sessions are a great option.

Privacy & Comfort

4

So many people who could benefit from yoga practice don't start because they're nervous or uncomfortable with trying out something new in a group setting.

Private sessions in the comfort surrounding of your own home or at my home studio provides a space in which you can truly explore yoga positions on a physical and emotional level while I will be there to meet you  as your cheerleader, sounding board and friend to guide you along YOUR YOGA JOURNEY. I will be invested in your growth and available to answer questions or provide guidance.
